Paula Sandhu

Paula offers counselling to children, youth and young adults who are experiencing symptoms consistent with depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, stress, sleep difficulties, emotional disturbances, life transitions, self-harm and suicidal ideation. She has a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Northern British Columbia and is currently registered with the British Columbia College of Social Workers (#09491).

Paula provides a safe, supportive environment to promote emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological wellness. Her genuine ability to connect with clients allows her to bring humour, care and compassion to her therapeutic work. She feels completely honoured to help people make lasting changes in their lives.

Paula is currently a clinical coordinator of an acute psychiatric program for children and youth. She has also worked as a program assistant for a provincial crisis centre, a counsellor with non profit victim support services and community based mental health programs.

Paula utilizes a client-centered, eclectic counselling style. She incorporates a variety of psychotherapy techniques and approaches which include, DBT, CBT, strength-based, narrative, family systems, solution-focused and trauma informed practices.
