Covid Protocols
Under advisement from the Province of BC and WorkSafe BC, workplaces will transition from a COVID-19 Safety Plan to a Communicable Disease Policy, as of August 25th, 2021.
At Boyd & Associates, masks are mandatory in the public areas of our premises if you are 12 years of age or older. For in-person counselling sessions, you understand that by coming to the office, you are assuming the risk of exposure to corona virus. You will only keep your in-person appointment if you are symptom free and experience no signs of any illness (even mild ones). If a resident of your home tests positive for Covid-19 you will immediately let us know.
For video/Phone Sessions, A secure platform will be used. Nobody will record the session without the permission of the other person(s). You should confirm with your insurance company that the video sessions will be reimbursed; if they are not reimbursed, you are responsible for full payment.
There is no set Communicable Disease Policy issued by the BC Public Health Office, but we will continue to use air purifiers and offer hand sanitizers. If you experience any symptoms of illness, please rebook your appointment or ask if it can be changed to a virtual session. And, if you, or anyone with whom you have come in contact, have tested positive for COVID please advise us immediately.
Most of our therapists will continue to offer virtual sessions as well as in-person sessions. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call our office at 604-931-7211.
